… But with God all things are possible! (Mark 10:27)
We have the tendency to fall back into the ‘old Adam’ attempt to appease God and create our own self-righteous salvation through our works… “If I am good enough maybe I’ll earn my salvation.”
Jesus continued to show His disciples the fallacy of this prideful and misdirected thinking, teaching them the impossibility of self-righteousness.
Yet, He also redirected them back to His purpose for coming to earth – to accomplish what was only possible by Him: life and salvation secured through HIs life, death, and resurrection and offered through the gift of faith.
Many children whom we serve at our project sites live in very challenging and difficult situations… chances for a better life look “impossible.” Sometimes, these children might transfer these experiences into wrong thoughts about their own chances for eternal life with Christ.
Thankfully, we have teachers who are sharing with them about a loving God who has made it “possible” for them to be a part of God’s eternal family as they hear the wonderful message of a heavenly Father who has created and cares for them, a Son named Jesus who has saved them from sin, death, and the devil, and a Spirit who fills their hearts with faith, hope, and eternal life.
Keep all of these children and teachers in your prayers as they all learn about a gracious God who makes the impossible become possible.
