Blessed Are They Who Have Not Seen….

                              …and Yet Believe!

I like the Apostle Thomas. He was a bold, ‘Git R Done’ kind of fella. When faced with the grim reality of the danger of traveling near Jerusalem to visit the ailing Lazarus, he proclaimed, “Let us go to Bethany to die with him!”

His practical, realistic view slowed him down a bit right after the resurrection;

however, after faith flooded his heart when he greeted his risen Savior, Thomas became one of the greatest evangelists, spreading the truth of Christ’s resurrection, planting churches throughout the east and becoming the patron saint of India.

Our Lord’s message for Thomas is also meant for us. We are those who are blessed, even though we have not seen the actual nail marks in Jesus’ hands and side and His lifeless body now risen from the dead. The gift of faith is what drove Thomas to become a great evangelist, and it is our Lord’s gift of faith that transforms us and now sends us out to share the good news that ‘Christ is risen’ … He is risen indeed, no doubt!

Join us in prayer for the children who attend one of our LeadaChild project sites around the world; and, if you are able, be a ‘Git R Done” kind of person and support the work of sharing the love of Jesus through your generosity. Help us so that the children also become those who are blessed because they believe without seeing.
