…I Will Come Back And Take You To Be With Me!

The glorious resurrection… the remarkable visits following that first Easter… the disciples must have been on an emotional roller coaster – from sorrow and fear to great excitement and hope.

And now Jesus was leaving their ‘sight’ for good… but He was not leaving them. With His comforting words He shared that He would be with them always, He would send The Comforter to guide and direct them, and He would be coming again to take them to their eternal home someday. In the meantime, the disciples were given the task of passing on the message of new life in Christ.

The Ascension of our Lord is a great reminder of Christ’s almighty providence and His great love and compassion for His children. Pray that the leaders and teachers at our LeadaChild sites follow in the disciples footsteps, continually sharing the Good News of life and salvation found in Jesus. Pray that children at our LeadaChild sites are also comforted and encouraged with the Ascension message… and that they keep an occasional eye on the sky for our Lord’s return!
