These past six months have been full of challenges – from one moment to the next – our lives have been affected in different
and unexpected ways. The impossibility of meeting together, leaving our homes, working freely… these restrictions have made people feel like they’ve lost control of their lives.
Yet, the real question is – Did we ever have control of our lives? I have to admit that at many times I was one of those people asking the question, fearing for the good of the church and unconsciously forgetting who is the Lord of the Church…who is really in control.
When circumstances seem to be out of control, it’s time to recognize once again, who it is that is in control, who is over all:
Jesus, our Lord, who after His resurrection declared: “All
authority on heaven and earth has been given to me.” He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. There will always be things about God that we don’t understand, but nonetheless, we are called to believe in His love even when we don’t understand everything that is happening around us…
…Many thanks for your prayers and generous hearts, for being instruments of God to remind us that He is in control, and that His promises are eternal and He will always watch over His Church.
