I saw this picture at the Tampa Convention Center when attending the LCMS convention in July. It reminded me of the disciples… after Pentecost: their attention turned toward fulfilling the Great Commission; casting their nets to save the lost; and fending off the evil attacks of sin, death, and the devil.

As an evangelical, confessional church, we are not only called to follow the example of the first disciples, but to also raise up the next generation to continue our Lord’s command to “go and make disciples.”

Lutheran schools and educational ministries play a pivotal role in accomplishing this task. It is especially critical in the third world countries where LeadaChild supports many educational project sites.

We are calling this new decade “A Decade to Disciple.” Continue to partner with us through your encouraging words, prayers, and financial support as many children come to faith in Christ… and eventually lead others to the Savior’s waiting arms!
